Hell: What is it, and who will be there? Special Service: Yom Kippur

Good Evening, Shakad!

This morning, we reviewed what it means to know God and to be known by God. We spoke about what it looks like when God is a JUDGE as opposed to a SAVIOR. We also took an honest look about how we were able to meet the goals of the past week's challenges.

This morning we were so blessed to be able to explain YOM KIPPUR, the Jewish Day of Atonement. We spoke about the importance of performing the SLICHA during the preceding week.

We spoke of the ancient opening of the Lamb's Book of Life and how those in waiting had a chance to hear the Gospel during the three days between Christ's death and resurrection.

We went on to differentiate that we fortunately live in a time of Grace, but that the Ancient Jews lived in the time of the Law. This included the discussion about the significance of the Ark of the Covenant and all the items that are included. Each item had a specific reason and representation. Each covered by the blood of the MERCY SEAT.

We know that the ancient practice of Yom Kippur was a place holder until the true Savior, Jesus Christ, was able to complete atonement permanently. This was evidenced by the cessation of the changing of the color of the string in the Temple after Jesus' resurrection.

We explored HELL. We were able to take an open and honest look at the Lake of Fire and the Bottomless Pit. We pondered Jesus' words that there will those that said Lord, Lord, that cast out demons, that healed the sick, that "appeared" saved, but were not. They were met with His words of, "Depart from me, I NEVER KNEW YOU." If working the power of the Holy Ghost, does not guarantee salvation, if working signs, wonders, and miracles, does not guarantee salvation, what does?

That brings us back to our Week 1 Challenge, To Know God, and to Be Known by God... To have a personal, intimate, submissive relationship with the Alpha and Omega, to wait on that "quiet, small, still voice". You must remember your FIRST LOVE.

Hell is a very real place filled with torment, anguish, and gnashing of teeth. The pain is physical, spiritual, emotional, mental, and inescapable. There is no passage of time. There is no chance of relief, of hope, of God. The people who are in hell will surprise you, as I am sure some of the people in heaven also will.

There is nothing so valuable in this life, that is worth losing your eternal salvation. Repent now of all your sins, because the Father already knows them. Now is the time to prepare yourselves, and not a second too late. The Bible says wide is the path to destruction (hell) and narrow is the path to heaven. Few will find that path; however, the good and merciful Lord has left a treasure map (The Holy Bible) to lead you right to Him and to the New Jerusalem. It is His hope that none shall perish, but will find eternal life in Christ Jesus.

THE CHALLENGE THIS WEEK

1.Scour the Bible for information of descriptions of Hell and the descriptions of the type of people that will be sent there. Do an honest evaluation of one's self; repent from anything that can separate you from Adonai.

2. Spread the Gospel and the message that you have learned over the last three weeks and find one person to share that Word and invite them to church. Really pray over whom you should share that message and allow the Holy Ghost to speak through you!

It is a blessing to be the Chosen Generation that lives in the last hours of the fulfillment of Scripture. Do all you can to run that race as a good and faithful servant!

I'll see you next week at the Shakad!
